NATIONAL TREASURES ADVENTURE (Full day trip)

Start your day in Ljubljana or Bled and take a refreshing morning hike to Peričnik waterfall, which is Slovenian hidden gem. Continue to Zgornjesavska valley to admire beautiful view of Špik mountain. After that you will have a chance to see a spring of Slovenian longest river Sava called Zelenci nature reserve. Take a quick hop to Italy where you will see Lake Predil surrounded by the mountains. After a short stop in Italy we are back in Slovenia to the main part of our trip. Soča valley with it's Soča river which is known by it's emerald colour. Soča valley is the perfect spot for some crazy adventure like rafting or a peaceful relaxation by the river. On our way back to the starting poin we will cross Vršič pass, which is known as Slovenia's most scenic road and it is the highest mountain pass in the country. You will also meet Pagan girl, get to know it' legend and stop by the Russian chapel and hear the story behind it. The final point of our trip will be lake Jasna where you can spot a mighty Goldhorn.

Fun, fun, fun

We had a fantastic time on this trip. You get to see so much in one day, and although €70 maybe seems quite expensive for a day trip, you really get good value for your money. An alternative would have been to hire a car for a day and do it ourselves but there is no way we'd have been able to have covered anywhere near as much in one day as you could on the Emerald River Adventure, or have found as many of the sights as we got to see. Action packed

So here’s how our day went. First they picked us up with a van right in front of our hostel, which was great, because we were a group of 4 and didn’t want to walk to the center. Then we stopped at Lake Jasna, and I was immediately hooked on this country. I’ve just never seen such magnificent things before. There was a nice chapel there, but when we got to the river Soča things really got interesting. Best day ever

I just came from the two lakes adventure, and I can’t believe it took me so long to visit Slovenia. I’ve never seen so many beautiful things in one day, it was simply breathtaking.
