Near the town of Bled, many villages lie along the banks of the Sava River. The town of Žirovnica and its artificial lake Završnica offer many opportunities for recreation, since the region boasts some of the most beautiful forests and mountain paths Slovenia has to offer. Most favoured are the valley riding trails nearby the riding centre in which we organize horseback riding for beginners or more skilled horse riders.
You can choose to ride the Slovene or the English warmblood horses, an intelligent and gentle breeds, known for their smooth riding qualities. Another breed of horses you may choose to ride is the Lipizzaner. The breed of these marvellous white horses was founded in 1580, in the time of the Habsburg monarchy, in the Slovenian Karst. Their eyes are dark with a vibrant view and their bodies muscular. In average, they reach the height from 155 to 158 cm. The Lipizzaner is one of the most recognizable Slovenian symbols. The Lipizzaners are born dark, usually bay or black, and become lighter each year as the greying process takes place, with the process being complete at between 6 and 10 years of age.
