Triglav lakes
Located in the Triglav National Park, the Valley of Seven Lakes is supposed to be the kingdom of a mythical white chamois with golden horns. Spotting a Goldenhorn is a snowball's chance in hell, but you won’t mind that once you get sight of the picturesque scenery the Valley has to offer. After the first ascent from our starting point, we reach the first alpine meadow with a mountain lodge overlooking the lake and from there on you’ll be walking open-mouthed. Moving on through the alpine woods we get to a pasture which used to be settled by shepherds and their herds. Their lovely wooden cottages will make you want to stay there but we’ll keep moving to the best part which is saved for last. The Triglav Lakes Mountain Hut is where we’ll take enough time to admire the clear waters of double lakes and epic views of surrounding mountains. We’ll return on the same path after we rest our feet and grab something to eat.
